Spurgeon Baptist Church

Opening Day - 3 July 2004

The Church land to the rear of the premises has benefited from a major improvement programme which has endeavoured to enhance the visual amenity as well as offering certain leisure facilities for wider use.

The redeveloped land has been named 'Galilee Gardens' and provides a safe and secure environment for general recreational use by people of all ages. There is a fenced area of play equipment for the use of 'Parent and Toddlers' groups; an area for the use of tricycles and pedal cars, a sand pit for the younger children, a further area with play equipment for use by the over-ten age group with a separate palisade fence and an area of landscaping and planting, including a good sized patio with seating.

The pictures below were taken on 3 July 2004 when the Galilee Gardens were officially opened.
